The SolarEdge DC-AC PV inverter is specifically designed to work with the SolarEdge power optimizers. Because MPPT and voltage management are handled separately for each module by the power optimizer, the inverter is only responsible for DC to AC inversion. These products aim to increase energy output through module level Maximum Power Point Tracking which is established in 2006, the company has offices in the United States, Germany, Italy, Japan, Israel.
It is incorporated in Delaware. The company is venture capital backed and investors including GE energy Financial Services, Light speed Venture Partners, ORR Partners, JP Asia Capital and Opus Capital Ventures. At the end 2009, the company started mass production of its product by electronic manufacturing services provider Flextronics International ltd.
